Enjoy a three, four or seven-night stay onboard the largest inland paddle wheeler in the Southern Hemisphere. In addition to the standard Cruises, the Murray Princess operates many special themed event cruises, such as Christmas in July and a New Year’s Eve cruise. Hosting just 120 passengers, the Murray Princess offers informal small ship cruising through the outback river landscape.
Dinner each evening is an opportunity to bond with guests on your table, while breakfast and lunch is a great chance to socialise with different people. And don’t worry if you want some quiet ‘me-time’ too — there are plenty of places inside and out where you can read or just relax. The bar and the dining room take centre stage as night falls with special evenings reserved for a Captain’s dinner and there’s live entertainment each evening.
Each day is filled with exciting activities. Visit historic ports, enjoy guided river nature walks, see a very Australian shearing show at the Sunnydale Woolshed, visit Ngaut, Ngaut Aboriginal reserve and get up close to the river on the ‘Dragon-Fly’ flat-bottomed boat. Enjoy tastings at vineyards and cellar doors or sample some local food and wine with an onboard tasting.
Optional activities offered at an additional cost include Monarto Safari Park, a Barossa Wine and Heritage Tour, a Nocturnal Tour at Sunnydale and a Bush Tucker Breakfast.
Relax in comfort inside one of two air-conditioned lounges and watch the impressive paddle-wheel turn through a glass full length window. Admire the ever-changing beauty of the scenic river on the open top deck, including the magnificent limestone cliffs at Big Bend. Marvel at the pelicans gliding across the water and gaze out from the sun deck as billabongs, woodlands and fields slip by.
All cruises are inclusive with fares including accommodation, all meals, onboard and onshore activities, onboard Wi-Fi, use of ship’s facilities including a sun deck, bar, two lounges, restaurant and mini gymnasium and return coach transfers from Adelaide, secure car parking in Mannum and post cruise coach transfers to Adelaide airport.
